OUR HISTORY
The restaurant Do Pulpo opened its doors in 1984, thanks to a Galician family who, with no previous experience in the hotel and catering business, decided to go for what they knew best: authentic Galician cuisine. At the time, this type of cuisine was rare in the area, and it soon began to make a name for itself thanks to its flavour and simplicity.
From day one, we have been clear about what is important: fresh produce, homemade recipes and the same old flavour. A cuisine without artifice, based on tradition and love for what we do.
Over the years, we have seen something very special grow. Customers who used to come as a couple now return with their children and even their grandchildren. We are proud and lucky to continue to be part of those moments, accompanying both those who have known us all their lives and those who are discovering us for the first time.
Our essence has always been the same:
traditional cuisine, friendly service and the illusion of seeing you again.
Because Do Pulpo is born from humility... and is maintained thanks to you.

We take care of our space as an essential part of the experience. We want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome from the moment you enter.
Our premises reflect what we are: a simple, authentic place with character, where every detail is designed to accompany the moment. The light, the layout, the atmosphere... everything adds up so that you can enjoy yourself without rushing.
We pay special attention to something that is fundamental for us: the cleanliness, order and constant care in every corner. Because we believe that small details make the difference.
But if there is one thing that really defines this place, it is its people. We have a close and committed team, many of whom have been with us for more than 15 years. This continuity can be seen in the way they treat you, in their trust and in the way they make you feel at home.
After more than 40 years in Peñíscola, we still maintain the same way of doing things: with proximity, dedication and the aim of making each visit as pleasant as the first.
